What reseluna needs
- A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later), running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
- An internet connection for website bookings, card payments and booking sites. The front desk itself keeps working without one, and catches up when the connection returns.
Common questions
The app closed. Will I miss bookings?
No. Website bookings keep arriving at the reseluna booking server while the app is closed, and come in the moment it opens again. With Reopen reseluna if it closes switched on (Settings → Front desk), it reopens by itself within seconds. If the Mac stays offline, Offline alerts (Settings → Booking server) emails you — after two hours unless you choose otherwise.
How do I get my data back from a backup — or onto a new Mac?
Install reseluna, then go to Settings → Backups → Restore from a
backup… and pick the backup. Whatever is on the Mac is saved first, so a
restore can itself be undone. Every backup folder also holds a file called
RESTORE.txt with step-by-step instructions that work even without
the app.
How do I put the booking form on my own website?
Settings → Booking server → Put the booking form on your website. Copy the snippet and paste it into your site where the form should appear. The payment goes straight to your own Stripe account; reseluna takes no commission.
How do I connect Booking.com, Airbnb or Hostelworld?
Settings → Channel manager takes you through three steps:
- Update rooms & rates sends your room types and rate plans to the channel manager, so the booking sites have something to sell.
- Connect your channels opens the channel manager's own screen, where you sign in to each booking site and match its listings to your rooms. Each listing must already exist on that site — the channel manager connects it, it cannot create it.
- Switch on Receive bookings from the channel manager.
From then on, a price you change or a date you close goes out to every connected site automatically, and reseluna checks for new bookings once a minute. Your prices and availability always come from reseluna, never the other way round.
Only need Airbnb and Booking.com dates blocked? Settings → Channel sync does that with the sites' free calendar links, without a channel manager.
A guest asked us to delete their details.
Open the guest under Guests and choose Erase personal details…. The person is removed completely, while the invoices and payment records that tax law requires you to keep stay in your accounts.
Where is my data kept?
On your Mac, and in the backup folder you choose. The booking server only holds what your booking form and listing need. The privacy policy has the full list.
